Butil #16 - Elewaitor
This completes the Butils for the week. Yay! I'll be out the house for thd 24th and 25th, so those butils will be uploaded on the 26th along with the one for the 26th.
Merry Christmas Everyone! Hope you have wonderfully full tummies and hearts this holiday season. Oh, and gifts... mountains and mountains of gifts... everything exactly what you want and have been fantasizing you waking moments about...
Not that Christmas is about material possessions... not at all...but they'd be nice. =P

Sketch #3 - The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Here's a sketch I did about a month or so ago. I absolutely love Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's books, and can't wait to get my hands on The Black Dossier.
If you haven't read The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol.1 & 2 yet, and you love turn of the century London fiction... you owe it to yourself to pick this up. Forget the crappy movie, these books are the real deal.

Sketch #2 - Chewbacca
Here's a quick sketch I stroked straight off with the brushpen while waiting for something to save. I liked it so much I decided to give it a quick color. Chewbacca the wookiee, copilot of the Millenium Falcon, furball sidekick of Han Solo.

Begin at the Beginning...
Well, the journey of a thousand hops begins with one foot cocked oddly in the air, and the other teeter-tottering with all one's weight. And so too, does this webcartoon have its own beginning.
I've been kicking around the idea of doing a little comic of my own for some time, and even did some strips some months ago but never got around to posting them. And then I saw the Gaiman speak last week at the Ad Congress. (Read that here.) I decided it was time I get off my ass and start.
So I hurriedly made short comic for Neil (too familiar? Let's call him the Sandman, then) and gave it to him in thanks at the book signing the following Saturday. When I handed it to him---I expected him to thank me put it aside, and resume signing.
But he took it---and stopped.
And read it.
And said, "That is actually very funny."
I burbled something unintelligible and probably embarrassing, he smiled and signed my Absolute Sandman Vol.1, drawing Dream on it. Then he looked at me and said, "Good luck!"
That's when I knew there wasn't any chance I couldn't try this out.
So here's the comic I handed him that day. I thought it was as good a strip to start with as any.
